Paul ends with the beautiful reminder of Christ's motivation: "who loved me and gave himself for me." This isn't a cold religious transaction—it's a love story. Jesus didn't stay distant after His resurrection. He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, not just beside us, but in us.
Jesus gave everything so He could be near you. He pursues you like a loving shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. Even when we walk away, His Spirit makes us uncomfortable in sin, calling us back to relationship with Him.
This love story is meant to be personal. Christ presents Himself perfectly—He never sinned, never failed, never disappointed. He went to the cross willingly, sweating drops of blood in the garden, praying "not my will, but yours be done" for your sake.
