Love is not a new idea. It has been woven into the fabric of creation from the very beginning, and Jesus brought it to life in a way no one else ever has. Walking in the light means actively choosing to love others, even when it is difficult, even when it is not returned. Holding on to bitterness and resentment keeps us spiritually stuck, blinding us to the path God has set before us. Loving others well also requires knowing who we are in Christ. Our sins are forgiven, we know the Father, and His Word gives us the strength to stand. The light of Christ is already shining, and we are called to walk in it together.
