1 Peter 4:1-11

Time moves faster than we expect, and 1 Peter 4 challenges us to be intentional about the days we have left. Peter calls believers to arm themselves with the mindset of Christ, choosing God's will over personal comfort. He acknowledges that walking away from old habits can bring rejection from former friends, but reminds us that we live for an audience of one. Every person will one day stand before God, and that reality should shape how we treat even the most ordinary moments. Peter gives four practical commands to guide us: pray with discipline, love each other deeply, offer hospitality without grumbling, and use our gifts to serve others. Everything we do should point back to one ultimate goal, bringing glory to God through Jesus Christ. None of this is possible apart from the gospel. He suffered, rose again, and is coming back, and that truth is the foundation of how we live.
