Suffering is not a sign that God has abandoned you. First Peter 4:12-19 reminds us that fiery trials are not accidents. They are opportunities to grow closer to Christ and to share in His suffering. When we face hardship for doing what is right, the Spirit of God rests upon us. Peter gives two clear commands for hard times: keep doing what is right, and trust your Creator. The God who formed you knows exactly what you are walking through, and He will not fail you.
